About Us

Benton County Soil and Water Conservation District

We serve Benton County, Minnesota, and work closely with the county on various natural resource concerns, including the Wetland Conservation Act and the Buffer Law.

We are a local unit of government that manages and directs natural resource programs. Working in both urban and rural settings, we partner with landowners and other government units to conserve, use, and develop soil, water, and related resources.

Benton County features a variety of landscapes—including wetlands, prairies, savannas, and forests—alongside a large proportion of agricultural lands, farms, and urban areas
